This certificate program:
- Couples online learning components with a week-long immersion experience engaging with Silicon Valley professionals
- Builds upon existing academic learning and professional experience,
- Engages participants in dynamic presentations, leaning activities, mentoring relationships, networking opportunities, and Silicon Valley company visits
- Allows participants to work on a professional project of interest related to entrepreneurial leadership or business innovation

Participants will:
- Have an opportunity to expand their leadership capacity and transform their managerial skillsets in designing creative business ventures and leading innovators

How do I pay for the certificate?

Do I need to register my guest?
Guests do not need to be registered unless they will be purchasing a meal package. Each guest must register separately.

Please indicate your dietary restrictions during the registration process. All efforts will be made to accommodate your diet.

How will my food allergies be accommodated?
Please indicate your food allergies during the registration process. Whenever possible, meals will be prepared to accommodate food allergies.

Is airport transportation provided?
Transportation is NOT provided by Saybrook University. If arriving into Monterey, you can contact the Hyatt for a shuttle. If flying into San Jose or San Francisco airports, you may use Monterey Airbus, Lyft, Uber, or rent a car.

Can a guest join me for meals?
Yes, guests can participate in meals for $175 per day. Payment can be made on the registration website.

Can my child(ren) participate in meals?
Children under age 12 are invited to dine at no charge. Children over age 12 may join meals for $175 per day. All guests, including children under age 12, must register separately.

When will I receive my room reservation confirmation?
Monterey Hyatt hotel room confirmations will be sent to the email on file two weeks before your arrival.

Will I need to provide a credit card to reserve my room?
You will need your credit card to confirm your hotel reservation during your online registration session. Charges will not be made prior to arrival. The hotel will request a credit card upon check-in and charge your card upon check-out.

Can I request a specific room type?
Room type is based on availability. Your request will be taken into consideration but cannot be guaranteed. All ADA requirements will be accommodated.

Can I have a roommate?
Yes, one person will need to make the hotel reservation and enter the 2nd person’s name when requested.

Can Saybrook match me with a roommate?
Saybrook is unable to match roommates on attendees’ behalf.

Can I make changes to my reservation directly with the hotel?
Changes cannot be made directly with the hotel. You may modify your own reservation here: Modify Registration

What is the cancellation policy for the hotel room in Monterey?
Failure to cancel your reservation 48-hours before check-in will result in a cancellation fee of one-night room and tax. This fee will be charged to the card on file.

What if I depart on a different day than was on my original reservation?
You are financially responsible for all days in your reservation.

What happens if I no-show?
If you do not check-in (“no-show”), you will be charged a cancellation fee of one night’s room and tax. Fee will be charged to the card on file.

What if I arrive a day later than my booked check-in date?
Your room will be released back to the hotel’s inventory if you do not check-in on the day you have reserved. Under these circumstances you will NOT have a guaranteed hotel room and may be charged penalties.

Will there be refrigerators and coffee makers in guest rooms?
Yes. Each room has a refrigerator and coffee maker.

How do I make a hotel reservation?
You will need to reserve your own room for the Silicon Valley portion of the excursion.
The Row will serve as our accommodation and meeting “hub” for the Silicon Valley portion of the excursion.
Participants may choose to stay at another location, but they will be responsible for finding their own transportation to The Row to meet the bus prior to leaving for that day’s events.
