Program Description

The American legal system is complex and can be difficult to grasp without first-hand experience.
A collaborative effort, this customized global program provides CETYS students an opportunity for an in-depth examination of the American legal system, including visits to the historic Santa Barbara County Courthouse, Santa Barbara City Hall, the district attorney and public defender’s office, and a public forum on immigration at the Colleges of Law’s Ventura campus.
This first-hand perspective into the everyday workings of the field of law will allow students to walk away with a strong understanding of the U.S. court and governance systems. Following this immersive experience, those interested in continuing their education will be offered the option to enroll in Colleges of Law’s Master of Legal Studies program.
