GLOBE Talk: Isolation and Connection During the Global Pandemic: An Existential and Terror Management Theoretical Perspective
October 10, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm CDT
Join us on UN World Mental Health Day 2022! The ordeal of the Global Pandemic has poignantly
illuminated what happens when unprecedented numbers of people face their mortality and the
terror of the unknown, compelling them to grapple with questions of meaning and purpose, the
value of human life, inequalities in access to health care, and forced isolation. Longing for
intimacy, authenticity, and human connection in the face of separation and global violence has
engendered large scale mental health challenges as well as opportunities for creativity and
resourcefulness.
